This night I took a train
To my long asbent home
I gripped tightly at the hard- won ticket
To stake my claim to a cushioned seat
Swinging, swaying, the train began to move
Lighted cities and lonely villiages flashed by
Scenes outside of the window
With dispatches withdrew
Soon the darkness ruled
Outside of the window
Staring at the darkness outside
I saw only the reflection of my dark eyes
Looking back at me as if from the outside.
To my long asbent home
I gripped tightly at the hard- won ticket
To stake my claim to a cushioned seat
Swinging, swaying, the train began to move
Lighted cities and lonely villiages flashed by
Scenes outside of the window
With dispatches withdrew
Soon the darkness ruled
Outside of the window
Staring at the darkness outside
I saw only the reflection of my dark eyes
Looking back at me as if from the outside.
